Assistant to the Sales Director and the Operations Director of a Digital & IT consulting firm, I supported our telecoms and banking customers in their enterprise architecture approaches for 15 years, then in innovation and sustainable co-design. In 2018 and 2019, I’m strengthening my skills with an MBA in “Management by Design” and the Lab in “sustainable foresight” at the Institut des Futurs Souhaitables.
After a year in charge of CSR for Société Générale Group’s technical infrastructures in 2021, I’m returning to consulting to develop activities linked to sustainable development and responsible digital.
My diverse background and open-mindedness enable me to adapt easily to complex and varied situations, and make me an excellent ambassador for the participative approach.

I am the Director of the Belgian Institute for Sustainable IT, sister of the French INR. Together with our international community of members, we continuously create and improve tools, guides and training to help organisations move towards a more sustainable IT as part of their digital transformation.
I also took part in 2019 in the study “Environmental footprint of the digital world” (see https://www.greenit.fr/environmental-footprint-of-the-digital-world/) and in the iNum study in 2020 (https://www.greenit.fr/impacts-environnementaux-du-numerique-en-france/).
20+ years’ experience in international companies like JPMorgan, Euroclear and Ingenico. As IT Director, I have led technical teams in Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong in financial and payment systems’ telecommunications, as well as in IT operations, infrastructure and application development.

Master 1 and Master 2 at the Université Alioune de Bambey (Dakar Resource Centre) have further motivated his commitment to digitally-oriented CSR. Mamadou Thiam is President of the M.E.M.E PLANETE association (Moins d’Energies, Moins d’Emissions sur la PLANETE – Less Energy, Less Emissions on the PLANETE), which is active in sustainable development, especially in recycling, reuse of digital equipment, and WEEE management.
Aged 53, Mamadou Thiam currently serves as Assistant Head of Networks and Operations in a construction company based in Paris. Operations Department in a Dakar-based construction company called SICAP SA.

The 4 steps to becoming a committee member :

Profile initiation and validation
Candidates must initiate contact with the agency and have their profile validated by current members of the Sustainable IT committee. Once validated by Agence LUCIE, the candidate can move on to the next stage.

Observation of the comittee in action
They then attend an initial committee meeting as observers, to familiarize themselves with committee procedures and operations.
3
Commitment and signature of the Charter
Once this stage has been successfully completed, candidates must sign the labeling committee’s charter, and are then officially integrated into the committee.

Active integration as an Official Member
Finally, they can take part in a first committee as official members, thus actively contributing to the Sustainable IT labeling process.
